Happy birthday to Jonathan Sanchez, Kira Fuller, and Leah Morris.

Picture packs are in from registration days. If you got your picture taken by LifeTouch during registration and paid for a picture pack, you can pick up your picture pack during all lunches in the new cafeteria today, Friday August 26th. The pictures will be distributed according to grade level, so there will be four lines. If you had your picture taken during the make-up day, those picture packs will arrive in a couple of weeks.

Attention Seniors, if you did not get your handprint on the wall in the old cafeteria during registration, there will be a make-up day so please see Mrs. Franklin in the Principal’s Office by today.

Senior Board will be selling senior clothing today during all lunches.  Order forms can also be found outside room 322.

Attention juniors and seniors: if you are serving in an elected or selected capacity in student government or a related organization who plans to take government courses in college, you may be eligible for a $10,000 college scholarship. The 55th annual United States Senate Youth Program Washington week will be held in Washington D.C. March 4-11, 217. For more information, stop in the Counseling office.

Attention LP students, faculty, and staff: Just a reminder that the Lost and Found is located in the Bookstore. If you lost anything, stop by the Bookstore and check to see if it’s been turned in. If you find anything, please bring the item to the Bookstore so we can get it to its rightful owner.

Attention all boys basketball players. If you’re interested in fall workouts, please attend a fall workout meeting on Tuesday, August 30th in the driver ed room from 2:50pm – 3:10pm. If you have any questions…please see coach Cherveny in the driver ed room.

Attention student authors: The Literary Festival is an opportunity for LP’s student writers to submit original short stories, poems, dramatic sketches, analysis papers, personal essays, and one act plays for competition against student writers in our conference. The deadline for submitting these pieces won’t be until sometime in January; however it’s never too early to begin thinking about and preparing for the Literary Festival. See your English teacher, Mrs. Phillips, or Mrs. Honecker for more information.
